Introduction to Trade

About the course

This course was created as a brief overview into the intricacies and excitement of the global trade environment. To provide the participant with the necessary foundational knowledge required when entering into the world of trade.

This course encompasses basic freight industry terminology, understanding of how global trade came into existence and the rules, regulations and authorities governing global trade.  This course also covers INCOTERMS ® 2010 as set out by the International Chamber of Commerce – covering the obligations of the seller and buyer regarding risk and payment on each of the terms. Lastly this course will illustrate the workings of the Import and Exports Cycle as well as the required documentation within these processes.
